I don't think Kyra necessarily meant for this to be a poem. It's a page out of her nonfiction book, "All About My Dog." But, as I hope you agree, in addition to giving very important information about how to be a good dog owner, it also earns the distinction of 'Poem'...

  If   you   buy   a   dog
  You   will   need   to   feed   it
  And   play   with   it
  But   if   you   give   it   your
  Heart   it   will   give   you
  His.
