Poem #41

We're reading lots of Little House on the Prairie stories and today we were inspired to write a poem about one of the chapters.

  Crossing   The   River


   It's    going   to   be   hard
   The   river   is   rough
   The   river   is   high
   The   river   is   dark   blue
   Swish,  Swish,  the   river   waves.
   We   have   to   go   through
   We   can't   go   around
